Flea & Tick Season is here!

With the grass growing and flowers blooming, springtime also brings the return of parasite season for our pets.  Are your furry friends protected?

Check out our list below of recommended products for control of the the many internal and external parasites our dogs and cats are exposed to as the weather warms up.  We keep of the following products in stock, and can sometimes offer some discounts and rebates during different promotions.

Canine Parasite Control

NexGard - A new, chewable tablet which is given monthly as a meaty treat to kill fleas and ticks.  There has never been an oral medication to treat ticks, so Nexgard provides an exciting alternative for those dogs and owners who would rather not use the topical products.

Advantix II - Applied monthly, Advantix II is the best topical product available for the treatment and prevention of fleas and ticks.

Seresto - A new generation flea & tick collar which provides 8-month protection.

Iverheart Max - We carry Iverheart, a generic heartworm medication which also treats common intestinal parasites including roundworm, hookworm and tapeworm.

Feline Parasite Control

Advantage Multi - Applied monthly, Advantage Multi is a topical flea product which works well to kill active fleas and prevent flea infestations.  The product also prevents intestinal parasites and heartworm.

Comfortis - An oral treatment for fleas, Comfortis is the fastest, most effective flea killing product available.  Comfortis starts treating fleas within minutes and is best for heavy infestations.  It continues working for 30 days and should be given monthly to prevent re-infestations.

Seresto - A new generation flea & tick collar which provides 8-month protection.

All flea products should be used for at least 4 months to combat an active infestation and prevent re-infestations as fleas can lay about 20-50 eggs per day and these eggs will continue to hatch for up to 4 months.

Please call us with any questions about these products at 508-833-0883, we would be happy to help you choose the best parasite prevention program for your pet.

As always, thank you for your support.
